He wanted to go from what I gather. Had he not got injured in July he would have started the season in the team. Has struggled since he returned and think he's become a bit disillusioned with things here, not least with the stick he's got online. |

What has puzzled me is the "he was the best playewr on the pitch" comments from the game vs Pompey and the other praising of him from PL and like has been said we cant wait to get rid by all accounts, is it the player that wasnt happy? I know Bolton is closer to home for him |
I was on holiday for Pompey game so didn’t see it, but the best player on the pitch doesn’t usually get the hook in the first half to save him being sent off! |  |

Yes. I know he’s been poor this season (which he’s acknowledged) but he's a really good bloke and not the only underperforming player. The way he’s been abused on Instagram and the butt of all jokes on here isn’t great. |  | | |

Whilst I don’t in any way think the abuse is ok, on any level, it’s a worry that it can affect him like that - it must be par for the course for many sportsman. That doesn’t make it any way right, but if it is affecting him then he needs to become better at avoiding it.

I think when its the odd one and you've had a bad game i'd agree. But when you have got an injury start if the season and been down about that. Come back and struggled for form and its just constant criticism which build and build and become targeted personal abuse i don't care who you are it will have an effect. Its well noted he's a really nice guy and thats ok. I'm sure he took it on the chin for a while but he's just thought im not playing well, hardly playing now and getting personal abuse. Need a change. |  |
