Cummings has always been unpopular with a large number of the Tory MPs. Some of them see this as a chance to get rid of him, behind the facade of moral outrage. |
And maybe some of them will be genuinely outraged that he’s compromised public health in the middle of a pandemic?
I know they’re Tory MP’s but there must be the odd conscience between them surely? *

So rather than acknowledge that Cummings did wrong they are going to let everyone else off their fines when they were clearly wrong as well.
An absolutely ridiculous and idiotic way to try and resolve this mess.
If there needs to be another lockdown they have totally undermined their position. They can't stop people going places and if they try they can't fine them.

I enjoyed whenever they went to a wide shot of people asking questions and Hancock was slumped over his lectern, nodding furiously and looking dishevelled and beaten.
