I know we're a bit rubbish at the moment... 20:37 - Jul 1 with 4528 viewsFixed_It

...and have been in steady decline for a while, but you're not a true Town fan if you can't find pleasure in seeing how Naarwich are giving up without so much as a whimper (or tweet) as their season stumbles to a slow and painful end.

I know caveats must apply (25 years difference, a 42 game season etc) but it would be quite amusing if this "best team to be relegated from the Premier League" (sic) went down with less points than we managed in 94-95, let alone 01-02. They still have time of course, but they're currently 3 points behind what our 94-95 team had after 38 games of that season and 6 away from our final total. They need 15 to equal the 01-02 side (which went down in 18th place, not 20th).

Wierd attitude. Norwich are on a different planet, let alone a different level to Town. You have a bad case of envy that is laughable really - and makes Town fans look bitter and twisted.

I'm not sure anyone expected Norwich to stay up and their approach has been a tad more sustainable than Villa's and Bournemouth's if those are the two tumbling down with them.

You clearly don't get it. Not at all bitter and twisted - I would feel exactly the same however we were doing.

Ha! I watched the Arsenal match and the first goal they conceded was comical, one of the other goals was also suicide.

They actually played alright yet lost 4-0 so definitely going down.

However they've spent no money and already signed some younger players who are due to come into the first time next season, they'll sell a couple of their top youngsters and get another £60m or so on top of their parachute payments, when their wage bill is already the lowest in the prem. They'll be able to pick and choose the best talent from the championship for wherever they need to strengthen.

To be fair, the biggest challenge I see them facing is meeting the home-grown criteria if a couple of the youngsters leave. I imagine they'll sign a couple of the best of british championship players to make up for it.

Certainly, although the sooner it is confirmed the better.

Although I want West Ham to go down at least their winning last night did Naarwich a bit more damage.

Just out of interest why dont you like West Ham ? I really enjoyed last nights match .

No clearly I don't

Norwich are everything Town used to be at present, though all things are cyclic....get ready to be envious of Peterborough... a much better run club at the level Town may or may not be able to operate in.

I really only want West Ham to join Naarwich as one of those relegated because of their owners not particularly because of the club itself.

It looks like relegation for West Ham would be a financial disaster which I find amusing.

I would much rather Man U or Spurs were relegated rather than West Ham but as that is not going to happen I think that West Ham would probably be next in line for me as the team to join Naarwich.

What's this "best team to get relegated from the premiership" nonsense? If you mean Nodge this year then it looks likely that two better teams will go down with them this year alone.

Based on a Chris Sutton quote, but it helped the BBC fill in some time during lockdown

'You're not a true fan if you can't find pleasure in seeing how Naarwich are giving up'

What a stupid, juvenile statement !

Our players have given up in shoddy League One despite saying this or that in the interviews ! I'd love to be relegated from the Prem instead of watching this bunch of frauds in the ITFC shirts who embarrass us in the 3rd tier.

No, I don't find any pleasure in them going down nor am I sad with that. Totally indifferent to this. But I can't be a true ITFC fan because Fixed_It said so !

ITFC is my main concern and Norwich aren't our problem. New era, new times in which we become irrelevant to them. They are streets ahead of us.

Fixed_It you're more than welcome in Norwich though with your dedication to Evans. They actually love him more than you do what for a laughing stock he has turned us into.

Same here. Our relative positions have no influence on my feelings, I’ve disliked since childhood and I continue to do so now.

AHa, it's more specific than best team to get relegated, it seems to be best team to be bottom, which is clearly nonsense as, particularly in the early part of the season, the table can be a bit erratic and some strange teams will have been bottom at some point.

Of course, Sutton could have been predicting that Norwich will finish bottom, in which case, fair play to him.

Would it help you enjoy it if we told you Skuse and Chambers have been taking training there as part of doing their coaching badges?

This thread is about something else but you have to keep stirring as you always do.

They can do what they want and this is out of my control. But I'd rather them being coaches elsewhere.

Would it help you enjoy it if they showed some appetite and passion on the pitch?

Wouldn't say it will be amusing to see us finishing in the bottom half next season and hear the same crap in the interviews from the hopeless manager, hopeless players, disastrous owner.
