Puppy Name 21:38 - Jul 19 with 4911 viewsslaughteredskipper

So we pick up our cocker spaniel puppy in 6 weeks time. We’ve been trying to think of a name and I’d quite like an itfc associated name. Obviously I wanted Bobby but my daughter who is called Poppy vetoed it after she thought the two names were too similar and she’d keep responding when I was talking to the dog! Anyone got any bright ideas?

Just call it "Barky noisy thing".

Or "Neighbour's bane".

Or "noise nuisance"

Or "biohazard dropper".

Dog-ist!

Barking nuisances & leaving evidence of functioning digestive tracts are down to good dogs having bad, antisocial owners.

You can justifiably have a go at cats if you like - 4 of which regularly wander uninvited into my garden, incl veg plot, to do & leave their dumps on the lawn, in the flower beds & in amongst the veg including lettuces etc. ...

Lots of horrible little yappy dogs around where I'm living atm. They start at any movement, any sound, any excuse and their owners are next to flipping useless at controlling it.

I'm talking about a good 4 separate households too and some days I want to go out and slaughter the lot!

Spaniels aren't like this, they are nice, none-yappy dogs, as a rule.

They are very bright and can be easily taught to take their own bags and even get someone to clear up after them.

Cats on the other hand...

Hate dogs.

And also people who think that its reasonable to impose their dog's incessant barking on others.

Our old cat in the 90's was called Bontcho.

I really liked that for a pet.

Bontcho is my suggestion.

(The) Beat is another which rings.

Geoff(rey) is one on my pocket for the next cat.......depends if you like cricket.
Gooch(ie) another......

Now I'm drifting off 'sport' but sometimes a name from elsewhere can resonate.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

Jarvis is the correct name for any male cocker spaniel, but if you want an ITFC name then I'd over rule your daughter

Oh come on Keno, you're older than me so you know the song.

I had to listen to that album blaring from an older sister's bedroom day in day out.

What about Treacle? Especially if he's a sort of golden yellow. Wife and kids won't know it's ITFC related.

I had a cat called Brennan years ago. Never stopped going out to shag the other cats in the neighbourhood.

my springer is actually called edward ebenezer jeremiah brown, but everybody calls him ted.
