If rumours are true and Lambert is on his way out, I'd go with Dyer and get Mick back in as director of football.

Dyer's ideas on the pitch, youngsters playing more minutes (especially Dozzell) and we get behind Dyer because we all want the same thing - promotion.

Can you ask why there were 9(!) coaching staff in the group photo shot, yet some players with squad numbers were excluded?

Had all of those members of the back room staff earned the right to appear in the shot? How so?

Will this be a ‘thing’ going forward as you rarely get more than 3 non-playing staff appearing in squad photos...?

Just had a look and there were 13 when Mick was here!

We've tried the experienced route time and time again and it's hardly been a success.

Having said that, it would be a huge baptism of fire for Kieron to come in under given the constrains Evans puts on managers.

....and it's failed once.

As already said we need someone, at least in the short term, to work with the current dressing room and not an egotistical maniac.

I think he falls into the 'just give him a chance' category. Worked well with Fulham and Scott Parker for example.

Whilst we have a good crop of youngsters on our books, I think now is a great opportunity for Dyer. I think it's clear that the youngsters will get minutes under Dyer too and he believes they are good enough. Again, like Dyer needing a chance, these youngsters need a chance. I don't want to see Skuse play more minutes in midfield this season than Dozzell for example.

I haven't listened to the BBC football daily podcast though, I will give it a listen.

You seem obsessed with Dozzell. He ain't all that lm afraid. Missing in most games he has played and is way to light weight.

Lambert. Think a lot is being make of Stuart Taylor doing Saturday's presser, he's done a few, usually when we'd spoken to PL a few days earlier, as was the case in this instance. Was decided prior to the photo call shenanigans.

Will there be a player on a zoom call before Lambert or will it just be Lambert?

He needs more games. Technically the best player in the squad. He's played less than 50 games for Ipswich staggered over a few seasons. We are so lucky to have a player like Dozzell, especially at L1 level.

Capped at U16s all the way through to U20s for England but if "he ain't all that Im afraid" then you're right, let him go to a better club and watch him progress into a multi million £ footballer.

I have professed my wanting Kieron to be our manager several times but do feel he needs someone experienced with him for a year or two, ideally for me that would be GB, there is no way I would want MM to even step foot in Portman Road again he isn't an answer to what problems we may have!

This would defo be a great job for Kieron but at the same time I hope he does realise that its actually too big for him to take on, on his own at first, maybe he already has a former coach that he trusts in mind whom he'd ask if given the job!

Him and Terry Butcher, then.

Terry has managed many teams, all unsuccessfully it has to be said, but the machination knowledge is there.

If only they could work together for a while beforehand to see how they gel..... Oh!

Mick no... that's past and he'd be so smug about it.

KD, why not? We've had football legend Keane who did nothing. Gnarled and pragmatic Mick which was fine for a while but ultimately ended up with us treading water. Up and comming (well he was then) Hurst which got us relagted and safe pair of hands Lambo that has proved anything but.

2 options we haven't tried are sexy continental manager or untested looking for a chance....what have we got to lose?

Its a risk but so is every appointment. We all love the idea of KD leading us back to the big time and he always comes across as thoughtful and considerd, he'd relate better to todays players and would have fans onside..... roll the dice.

Mick can do one

I just don’t get the call for Dyer.

Has no management experience at all, limited coaching at mainly youth level

Other than being an Ipswich based ex player there is substance to it.
