Norwood on crutches in Prezzo (n/t) on 22:24 - Sep 30 by Swansea_Blue

Christ, lockdown hasn't done him any favours. Really let himself go there and I can't see how he's going to be able to add much this year. I'd get shot if I was Evans. There's no way we should let him come back after this.

Horrible yellow jumper too.

I’d just bitten and was about to add an outraged response, luckily read the small print at the bottom.

If you don't wanna be seen then don't go out - it aint f-ing difficult!

That's just silly. How can you expect people to not go out in public because of their job?

I don't see why people see footballers are seen as some kind of public property who shouldn't be allowed to live a life the same as everyone else.

Sure, if someone has a kiddie with them who's a fan then it's more tempting to ask them for a pic or something, but otherwise it shouldn't be difficult to leave them in relative peace.

Maybe wish them well for the next game or something as you or they are leaving.

But taking photos of them without permission feels like stalking, no?

‘Celebs’ get photographed every single day without permission

Norwood just didn’t like that he was caught doing something That wasn’t ‘banter’ And couldn’t pull out the ‘why always me’ card

That’s mot what I’m saying.

If he didn’t want it to be known that he was on crutches he should’ve not gone out. I’m not condoning the person who took the pic but it’s a bit naive to think it wouldn’t happen if you’re in the public eye, eating out in an ipswich town supporting area. That’s the reality of it whether you like it or not.

As a genuine point, and speaking as a former football photographer and photojournalist, this picture is on all levels of wrong.

1. It's taken on private property, which mean permission must be obtained to take photos that aren't incidental to your own environment, IE catching Norwood in the background whilst taking a picture of your missus/fella. Norwood is clearly the focus of this as is Edwards in a later picture the same k no b jockey took as well.

2. Although there is no right of privacy in the UK, (If you see someone in the street you can take pictures, until it becomes threatening or harassing behaviour), there is what is called 'reasonable expectation of privacy'. I would argue in Prezzo, Norwood and Edwards would have had a reasonable expectation of privacy whilst they enjoyed a meal.

Anyone publishing the image could find themselves on the uncomfortable end of a law suit.

Was always going to happen if there was a footie fan in there.

...if that fan is a bit of knob.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
