Was wondering how El Mizouni was getting on.

Also wondering if five subs means we could always have either El Miz or Dobra on the bench as a wildcard option.

I've only watched highlights when he has played, and certainly not having the same impact as last year, but seems to be working his was into the team, which is flying.

Shame L1 hasn't gone to 9 subs as well to allow us to chuck the wildcards on there

El Miz is getting more first team football than he would here, and certainly more than Dobra is getting here. Dobra should have taken his loan option.

Don't think number of subs on the bench has changed though, so wouldn't expect to see a change in personnel there.

Is he though? Surely he is the most like for like Bishop replacement so would have come on for him earlier in the season or covered for him now that TB has dropped deeper

When I say surely I mean with a manager that isn't shambert and therefore believes in the kids instead of playing judge in every position on the pitch

Well he is yes. Has made every matchday squad since making the loan move. 2 starts, 5 sub appereances. 9 apperances in total.

He is since more action than he would here no doubt, look at Dobra for example. Not getting a sniff really in the matchday squads for the league.

Lambert doesn't massively trust the kids, that's not uncommon knowledge, speak to anyone up at the club and they'll tell you he prefers a ready made pro, because his job is on the line. You could see that by our targets in the summer (Ward, Keogh & Graham) all 35.

A slight difference this year is that Cambridge this year is that they brought Wes Hoolahan to the club, forgot ex-budgie conenction he is very good footballer, especially at that level and Iddy going head-to-head with him for that role. Hoolahan won't play every minute of every mind you.

But when Hoolahan not played they seem to have gone from a 4-4-1-1 to a 4-4-2 with Joe Ironside up alongisde Mullin.

Hence you saw Saturday Iddy was playing RM, which could be where he may end up get most minutes up there this year.

The only reason he isn't playing is because Lambert wants to make an example of him. The guy is an absolute fool who doesn't know how to treat youngsters (further evidenced by the Downes and Woolfenden incidents earlier in the year). Instead of praising him for wanting to stay to fight for his place he essentially shuns him from the squad.

Who has told you that, or where have you got that from?

The fact he isn't even making the bench even with a load of injuries? He had more bench appearances a few months ago when we were more or less full strength...

If Lambert is telling the media that he should have gone on loan, do you really think there isn't something else going on behind the scenes too? It has happened several times before with the other players. He is shocking at man management.

I don't think that equates to been made an example of. More just doesn't trust him yet, whether that is right or wrong is different discussion all together.

A lot of what you say hear scream of putting 2+2 together and making 5.

Be fair to Lambert on this one. It doesn't matter where he asks Judge to play - Judge will go wherever the f*ck he likes.

Lambert would only use that to bring Judge on-and-off 4 times.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Just throwing this out there.

Dobra was an UNUSED sub in the first game for Albanias U21.

Maybe he isn't that good.... possibly

I think Armando is a talented kid, no doubt about it in my opinion.

But he still seems a little off the first team squad.

I just think it is his decision making at the moment that lets him down.

He's 19 years old, we don't need to be putting pressure on the kid, and we also don't need to be writing him off as 'not that good' either yet.

Just let him continue to develop, and lets try and find him a suitable loan in January.

He doesn't want a loan so we now need to decide if he is good enough. The general verdict is that he definitely is. The way this plays out is that we either use him or he walks away and we will never get to see. No 19 is a complete article but most football managers find a way to use then

That's not stricly true. He didn't want the loan to Crawley because John Yems wanted to play off the left hand side, where he wants to play in no.10 role.

Hence why we need to find him a 'suitable loan'.

He has made 3 apperances this year, and only 22 minutes in the league. He's seen a little off right now and probably right.

He needs a loan.

I seem to remember Shambert talking more generally about him deciding he didn't want to go out on loan

He wasn't adverse to a loan, Crawley wasn't the right one.

Dobra knows where he is in the pecking order, and he's a little down there right now.

He's not playing any regular first team football though, when he played against England u21's he was arguably their best player...

Five subs now, he MUST get a place on the bench...you can't keep ignoring talent and he has bags of that, just very raw, how is he meant to improve?

I read Lambert's comments at the time.

As I've said, Crawley and Dobra's plans weren't aligned, Dobra not adverse to a suitable loan move.

*I never have, nor will I have take what PL says in the press with any credibility, because it doesn't reflect what is said away from the cameras.

Think he is seen as among their stronger players and was rested ahead of the England match. There has already been talk of the first team manager keeping tabs on him.
