Would love to know how many motorists have have been done for speeding. I am a regular up and down that stretch of road and the number of cars, vans, lorries that pass me doing 40 plus mph is unbelievable. |  |

Indeed. They appear to be rather extravagant to be temporary speed cameras and are of the same ilk as those around the Orwell Bridge.

Have has three notifications in the last 14 days from highways England concerning work on A14.Variable speed limit on the bridge 60 reducing to 40 when wind reaches a set speed. Still closes if over 60 mph. | |

The worst example was after the average speed cameras were installed and signs erected, but their were signs attached to the cameras indicating " camera not in use". They had mobile camera i the closed layby Werstead side of the bridge. Must have caught hundred. | |
