As always..

McGuinness was a rock! Superb tackles, arial dominance, goal line clearances.

Dozzell controlled the midfield (shame about his tackling!)

Downes looked sharp.

But those full backs!

Also, can someone give Edwards a protein shake?! He's like a puff of wind, barged around like a child!

RIP Sir Bobby

Yes he was mentioned because he was being taught a lesson. Go back and watch it. They said it more than once.

Oh dear 🙄.

A rock? no. Terrible? no.

I questioned Woolfenden for the goal, looked as though he got caught in no mans land and left Wyke in the centre.

Dozzell can't be trusted defensively.

Downes looked very good. I thought Thomas offered pace of play that we don't seem to have generally.

I thought Chambers was fine. Ward was not.

Poll: Would love to know the opinions on here now of Lambert genuinely?

He needs to be playing in a forward thinking team - he is drowning in the setup we have currently when his main duty seems to be to defend

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think he’s always played in a deep lying role in the England age groups. For me he’s like a quarterback who can direct play from deep, which requires movement ahead of him. I don’t think he’s dynamic enough to play higher up in the pitch

Yep, normally sitting alongside a Downes like player in a 4231

McGuinness has some great attributes, but he's a bit on the clumsy side and tends to make bad decisions slowly. Would much rather see Chambers and Woolfy in there, and either Donacien or try Ndaba at right back until KVY is back, if only they hadn't been shipped out.

Yeah tbf Chambers has looked class this season. Definitely not slow and clumsy in the slightest.

Moving him and his errors into the centre of the defence makes perfect sense.

It's a different position, requiring different attributes.

I’m with you on this Wallingford, McGuiness was fine. Did Wyke dominate our defence? Not really he drew the odd foul, but we weren’t overly troubled. I think it was Andy Hinchcliffe that was commentating last night, a defender of huge top level experience and an England international mentioned him a few times. I just get the impression because he isn’t our player, there is a general reluctance to give him any credit even when he plays solidly.
