I would tread carefully about protesting about the guy keeping the club afloat, albeit not very well.
Protest about the way he does it, but I think whilst he's the one funding it, we've got to be very very careful otherwise there might not be an itfc to support [Post edited 17 Feb 2021 7:53]

Has it not occurred to you that our current predicament and the owner might be linked somehow?
Just how much worse does it have to get? Relegation to League 2? The Vanarama?

To be totally fair, "Probably best to see who he gets in and how it goes for a while", we've already done that 5 times, and with the exception of one, the result has always been the same.
You're right, we need to be realistic on ownership, but I have zero confidence the new guy will make any major difference with Evans at the helm.

A potential new owner might have more football nous than Evans and a genuine football strategy, but he's also going to have to pay Evans what he wants for the club (unless his businesses are performing really badly, I doubt Evans would sell Town at a knock-down price) and be able and willing to invest (or lose) the necessary sum each year to make Town vaguely competitive.
We could also end up with a crooked charlatan owning Town, or a crazy who changed manager every month & constantly interfered in team selection.
The debt is irrelevant; if Evans wants to sell, he will write it off. |  |
