I think this attitude is odd. We're a good sized club who need a bit of love and a bit of cash thrown at it to get back to the Prem. Once there £40m is nothing. People act like there has been irreversible damage done to the club and it's nonsense.

We don’t own the stadium and have very few players of any value from an accounting perspective (because they’re homegrown) so £40m seems a ridiculous figure.
There would obviously be no debt as ME would write it off but I can’t imagine there’s anywhere near that amount of value in the club. |
