It's good we are being acutious, though I appreciate a lot of people are struggling and finding it difficult.

Thing is, is it shouldn't have been this hard.It shouldn't have taken the deaths of 120,000+ people and massive damage across all facets of life for them to realise this. The 'lockdowns do more harm than good' crowd should remember this: we've only had to do this for so long, because they're repeatedly failed to do it right in the first place. Generally because we've listened to the 'it does more harm than good' crowd. [Post edited 24 Feb 2021 10:03]

Did you see the analysis of excess deaths per capita that was on Radio 4 the other week (More or Less) that said the UK were 10th in Europe by that measure. I was pretty shocked at that given how poorly we have handled everything up until recently. As you say, the people constantly putting pressure on easing lockdowns aren't helping. A town the size of Ipswich has died. SB

you mean like giant cockroaches and radioactive spiders? they're right to be concerned.
| And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show |

It's easy to mock, but it has happened before:
