.... in behind the striker has been our main issue for me in Cook's three games so far. In theory we have a ton of players that can play in those roles but nobody has really been doing it well. Edwards is wasteful. Parrott looks a forward playing out of position for me, and his touch and decision making needs work. Judge works hard but mostly in areas where he's not influencing the game.
If we're to progress this is the area we need to get right. Unfortunately none of our options for those roles looks to be in any kind of form. I'd still be tempted to persevere with a Dobra or Lankester over a run of games, just for their dynamism and ability to produce something out of nothing. |  |

Dobra seems perfectly suited for any of those 3 roles. Surprised we've not seen him yet.
I think the the central role I'd like dozzell or Bishop given another try there. They can at least get the ball under control to try something. It's just bouncing off parrot at the moment. |  | | |

I'd be looking at our midfield too, it doesn't impose itself enough on games or score enough goals. There's a few areas that PC needs to look to improve in the summer. |  |

We rarely dominant games, impose ourselves and offer that element of control in that midfield area and we're talking about L1 here. [Post edited 13 Mar 2021 16:35]

I'd also say they could do more to pick up the ball from the back four and move it to our attacking players. Too often Wilson and Nsiala don't have an option and have to go back, sideways or long. | | | |

Agree with that. Lankester I think could have significant role, but needs games after coming in from the cold a bit.
I don’t we have the selection that Paul Cook would ideally have at his disposal, but he can only work right now with what he has.
Dobra and El Mizouni I’m sure next year will be more involved. |  |

Whilst true our front 3 isnt good enough and it effects our ability to control games. | |
