“Target the Right Back” on 10:24 - Mar 14 by jayessess | "give him free reign" seems an odd way to react to an opposition defender who you think is weak in possession |
Because he is more likely to give the ball away when the other options are taken away from him. Lincoln would force us to go back to him and then make him go long. It's not his fault though. That'd where he midfielders need to be braver in coming and collecting from him and then playing forwards.
“Target the Right Back” on 12:41 - Mar 14 with 624 views | LeoMuff | Maybe you should target the right issue, we have conceded the 6 th lowest number of goals, whilst being 19th in the scoring charts. Chambers perfectly adequate for this league, and we certainly need his experience

Make no sense. Why wouldn't you try and force turnovers in the opposition half if he's that bad? Very little value in getting the ball back deep in your own half from an imcomplete long ball, lots more in tackling the ball off a centre half.

“Target the Right Back” on 10:07 - Mar 14 by BlueBadger | You have these 'facts' to hand presumably? |
Sure. Watch pretty much every game he has played this season. Not saying he’s particularly bad, just that he’s the weakest link and opposing teams obviously try to take advantage of that. Would rather see him back at CD with the loanee at RB.

Because he then has the potential to give it away in dangerous areas or just give the opposition the ball back. Oxford very clearly utilised this as did Plymouth in the second half yesterday

“Target the Right Back” on 01:54 - Mar 14 by BLUEBEAT | Eh? Facts speak for themselves. More opposition attacks down that side. More crosses from that side. More goals generated from that side. Suck it up, buttercup. |
Yep, and we’ve just moved up to 6th, with a whole load of clean sheets. If our result keep improving as they have the last couple of months I’m happy for Chambers to be targeted!

More pressure = more mistakes. It absolutely makes no sense to sit off the opposition's worst players. If Oxford and Plymouth "utilised this" then they should've tried something else, because both created very little. (Chambers' pass completion is worse than Nsiala's btw, maybe they should've let him have the ball instead!) [Post edited 14 Mar 2021 15:12]

How many of Nsala’s passes went to his fellow Centre back or ‘keeper though?

Most of Chambers’ go to the opposition. The distribution of our back four and ‘keeper are terrible with the possible exception of Kenlock who at least gets up the pitch and has energy on the ball.
