They were slagging off Town players and making unsubstantiated claims about one in particular.
One or two people objected and the next thing you know there's some semi-literate weirdo posting on here a load of nonsense in their defence.
Thing is, he was more interested in going on the attack than actually offering any context to the original comments.
At the end of the day, the best route would have been to put their hands up and admit they'd got this wrong.
No need for any fuss.

I’ve had a listen as I started the original post which was in no way critical of the pod but the comment from cruncher that was clearly regarding Kane, being as the club announced his come back shortly beforehand.
They do appear to have gone to victim mode, I agree some of the bits about Rich were OTT but the fact that they haven’t come out and owned the comment and taken accountability for it isn’t in great taste. Accusing a player of faking injury for what is effectively 17 months is incredibly poor taste. Apparently Matt Holland wasn’t calling out Rich either which is a strange old take on Matt’s message.
For the record I’ve listened to some of their pods and have enjoyed them with their guests, I don’t enjoy them talking so much when it’s by themselves, I find it a bit cringe and trying to be too inflammatory at times. |  | | |

I'm sorry, but the pod did attack the site. It claimed there was no moderation on here, it's like the "wild west" and made a bizarre and frankly offensive comparison with the tweets Jude Bellingham has received.
Having supported Talking Town by appearing on the show and promoting it on the front page, that did rather cross a line and, understandably I think, I don't feel we can be associated with them any longer.
I think in the circumstances of the tweet aimed at KVY - and I've told Matt, who is a friend of mine, this - that some comment of the type they have received on here and elsewhere should have been anticipated. Personally, I would have expected the tweet to have been retracted and the criticism taken on the chin before moving on.

I watch occasionally and after this weekends nonsense I gave today a go. The first half an hour was a car crash. Dancing from the ultra defensive, the denial, claiming impact on mental health due to the comments (weird considering crunchers clear claim towards KVY) following on to making sweeping pops at the clubs media such as Stuart, a massive go at the people on here where Matt warned us all we should be lucky they are not the kind of people to take legal action due to defamation, all while making whistle stop tours at begging for cash to pay for troll tears and getting ultra defensive about merchandise quality.
There loads of content out there and today did no favours for inviting me back in for another listen. Attacking the forum in the way they did wasnt really an own goal, it just appeared like another effort to say our community is better than yours, calling for better moderation as if they control the Web was a farce | | | |
