9 points in 8 games since changing the manager.... 20:41 - Apr 5 with 13376 viewsitfcjoe

....and we are still just 2 points outside the play offs.

The lack of bounce since Cook came in is hugely disappointing, I don't think it is a stretch to say that 4 of our poorest performances of the season are since he has come in as well.

Sarcasm? I think there's a player there for sure, but if I'm honest, I'm past caring which player stays now. I feel like he fancies himself elsewhere anyway.

Aye, sarcasm. There may well be a player in there but he keeps it well hidden. In fairness to him he's quick and he's not a bad finisher, when he keeps it simple and just knocks it past people and runs he can be effective. Technically he's a really poor footballer though. He can't cross, his touch is poor, rarely manages 5 yard passes without complications, and he doesn't seem able to both have possession of the ball AND look up to see where he is teammates are. He could go on and do well elsewhere at this level, but I'm more than happy to get rid. Since his injury he's been a liability.

It wasn’t Gwion, but rather illustrates the point that it could have been any of them - ITFC has sucked the life out of players, like it has the fans

Yep, sad as its always nice to have a team full of players that genuinely care about the club and have a good connection with the fans. Just feels like a team full of strangers who don't want to be here.

Massively disappointing, but i won't judge PC until he's had the summer to wheel and deal and how we've started next season.

I think it boils down to the fact we have no solid experienced pro's other than Judge and Chambers. Bishop. Dozzer, Woolf etc need to be guided better than they are.

If I was PC I'd look to build a team around Woolf, Dozzer, Downes, KVY, Lankester and Bish.

Said similar with regards to Burton and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink with regards to the new manager bounce, only he's got them doing alright.

Somethings not right, that's for sure.

Yeah, it's clear that Cook's methods aren't working on our current lot right now. But he has a good record at this level, so we need to see if he can assemble a group that can respond to it.

Jumping into the end of the thread here but I must say I'm surprised with how little we've improved since Cook has been here. Obviously would be incredibly harsh to judge him on less than ten games with our team but I was expecting something a bit more than exactly the same crap we'd be serving up under Lambert.

That's exactly how I feel.

But despite some people twisting things i've not seen one poster wanting Cook out and rightly so - changing manager again right now would look ridiculous and make the summer harder.
