Surely it'd be third chance, given the drink driving and threatening to kill his wife were two separate incidents?

Are the 2 not potentially linked? Wife leaves him for another man... I dunno, I'm just speculating.

Everton kept him on to work with their kids though which would seem strange.

Poll: Has our squad been improved this summer?

They could be, would b very speculative though. They happened almost a year apart as far as I can tell.

Have to agree with others, if possible we should be avoiding hiring people like this for the club. I'm sure there are other coaches out there with less baggage.

I have a few concerns on this one

Reading some of his history doesn’t fill me with joy. I don’t want to judge him, but for me he comes (if he comes) with very little credit in the bank.

From things the new owners have said I can’t imagine he’ll last long if he puts one foot out of place whilst in their employ.

Because of the applying form in his time so far Cookie has used up quite a bit of the goodwill credit I gave him. His release and retained players has used up some more. His choice of inexperienced coaches is using up more. I really hope this all comes together and we quickly have the upward trajectory we’re all hoping for or I fear we could have another manager who loses the support of a lot of fans.

Like I say, I’ll give him time and I’m not judging him but I am currently getting to a point of having just a few questions. Nothing that a few decent signings and a good start to the season won’t put right, but I cannot hand on heart say I’m entirely convinced of the way things are going at the moment.

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

The season has only been finished 3 days. Sit back, have a beer and enjoy the summer. Start questioning in a couple of months once the coaching staff and squad are clear.

Troublemakers, layabouts or yes law breakers but did any of them threaten their ex saying she’ll end up in a coffin?

Yeah, that's fcuked up, he should be nowhere near a senior level position.

Did Jeffers say that? If so yeah, a bit poor of Cook to bring him in.

Yep

Potentially beat up father in law with a broom
Sent ex wife messages about being in a coffin
Drink driving conviction of which he refused to take a breath test

Absolute wnker of the highest order.

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.
