Season ticket holders tribute for fanzone on 14:27 - May 24 by chrismakin | Misleading statement or not. Suck it up as an apparent loyal st supporter rather than as said again moan etc and cost the club a couple of million. Decline the additional compensation etc.. that's loyal. Your final paragraph. Just to do a direct comparison St holder buys pandemic ST. No idea why. Anyway Costs £450 end of season full refund Non st holder all home games purchased I follow £290 no refund The better support is that of the non st holder in this situation. |
Seriously? Who gives one

Season ticket holders tribute for fanzone on 16:48 - May 24 by footers | This thread may well be the stupidest thing TWTD has ever argued about. And that's saying something. |
I only posted it as I thought it was a really nice thing to do by the club, and look what happened..

Same here. I read the OP when it went up yesterday, thought "Oh that's nice for me and especially my dad" and then went about my day.
| Who said: "Colin Healy made Cesc Fabregas look like Colin Healy"? | We miss you TLA |

Season ticket holders tribute for fanzone on 17:47 - May 24 by pointofblue | Look at it this way - season ticket holders for 20/21 put money into the club with the understanding that the season may pan out in many different ways, one of which was they may not be able to attend the ground. Because of this the club vowed that supporters would be able to view iFollow for free. Whether season ticket holders get their money back or not is not important at this stage; the key is the guaranteed income last summer allowed the club to budget for the upcoming season. I’m sure we can all agree it ended up a case of throwing good money after bad but, with better decision making, it could have actually been used to aid a promotion push. The club obviously respects and is grateful to those who paid separately for iFollow but that was on a game by game basis - it was cash in the pocket but not in advance. Same for people who buy from Planet Blue and would be the same, in usual circumstances, for those who buy tickets on the day. Whilst the club is overseeing the refund of the remaining amount in form of TeamCard points, this is across three seasons and, as far as I’m aware, the response from season ticket holders has been good. Therefore the club is able to budget accordingly taking the additional amount into account this year. The club’s gratitude came from the fact that season ticket holders last season paid out for season tickets whilst the future looked questionable about seeing matches in person. Even though this money will be reimbursed via two different methods, the fact it was in the account to start with to cover 20/21 is the important thing to Ipswich Town Football Club - and why they’re making that gesture now. |
So much better than I could have worded it!!

Season ticket holders tribute for fanzone on 21:17 - May 24 by chrismakin | Just shy of £10 per I follow reg x 23 games x 9000 ST holders. Plus ST refunds not donated/ used towards next seasons. Overall you're looking at 2 mill plus. [Post edited 24 May 2021 21:48]

I said I don't think the complaints totalled £2m. So you're saying all 9000 ST holders complained?! You also seem to have avoided the rest of my post: "How do you think it would look, from a PR POV, if they'd made a mural... but not for anyone who complained?"
