like i've already said, no reason not to believe someone who's had a day debrief meeting and comes out with the knowledge of selling just shy of 3k ST's.
Either Ashton is underselling it, or the original renewal figure was wrong, he's text me just now saying no way only 1k of NEW ST have been sold. |
We could easily be up ~3000 new tickets in general. Sounds like your mate could have his fumbers nuddled.

If anything overplaying would help with negotiations and also help whip up a bit of further interest. 11,000 is pretty much exactly where they expected to be at this point, I think. It will grow the nearer we get to the season and as it becomes clearer how many people will be allowed in the ground. |  | | |

I don't get your point though, the club said 10k renewed on the weekend. Now it's 11k, so only 1k new in 4 days?
I do believe my mate, and I do think Ashton is undercutting it, which would be the best thing to do really, you don't want to be announcing you've got a lot of turnover.
The only other thing it could be was the total number of renewals was 10k but this included a certain number of FOC season tickets for U23s/u19.s So take those away from the 10k......... |  |

I see your point but in the grand scheme of things where you're saying we're hiding numbers due to turnover etc and available monies ...the difference between the actually number and your number probably is around £2m max and in the grand scheme of things perhaps a littler immaterial due to the minuscule figure |  |

Not sure there's much issue with chris posting a tweet from one of the club's owners on a talking point such as that, even if the info he was reacting to was incorrect. |

As mentioned above slightly on another reply to a poster, It could be the 11k Ashton refers to is the total Sold tickets and not inclusive of those FOC for u19s and u23s. Which would make sense considering last weekend the club itself had said circa 10k renewals were confirmed. This is more viable than Ashton undercutting figures for negotation purposes.
