I appreciate he hasn't signed, but I am rather underwhelmed with us looking at players like this. A 29 year old who made only 13 starts last season.
An old hand in the centre of the park, yes - but as a pacey winger (30 in Nov) I think not.
Aside from those who thought we had, and would be spending, £700m this is still below what we were led to believe would be summer signings.
There is plenty of time yet, but our season ended 44 days ago. The next begins in 45 days. Hopefully there will be some quality who see us as a worthy venture. At the moment, there's a lot needing doing for us to give off that promise.
He's a good passer and crosser of the ball according to Pompey fans. Something we have needed for a long time. If he can help get us out of this division I'm all for it. Cook knows his credentials too. Have a little faith.

Paul Cook will know this player inside out. He won’t be targeting any dud. He will know this players footballing ability but he will also know this players temperament totally. I think Pompey are dressing this up as an injury issue. Maybe the player simply doesn’t want to stay at the club…….it happens doesn’t it , we’ve had enough of this at Town last season haven’t we!!

Can play across the midfield 3 and knows how to play in a Paul Cook system. Given the lack of wingers at the club I think he will come along with more wingers.
