Is a player reborn.

Love him.

Sounds like he's been the best defender out of all the players we've kept. Only in our third game, but well done to him for justifying his retention so far.

As I’ve consistently said, he’s a good player

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Agree. I know some on here appear to want him gone, but this is the first manager since he’s arrived to show any kind of a chance.

And that chance is being rewarded with good performances

That’s proof enough for me that he is good enough!

Also quashes the myth that players don't have a chance under Cook.

Show the right application and determination and you can work yourself back in favour.

Yes I've always liked him, but he does look far more positive and reliable this year. It speaks well for him that Cook thought enough of him to keep him. He obviously has a good attitude, and seems to be enjoying being part of this positive team, even keeping up with the movement. He's been every inch good enough at both CB and RB this season, in my view. If he's to be a back up this year, I think we'll do very well indeed.

He’s ok, fairly solid defensively, not much of an offensive threat and has sliced a couple of balls out of play. Is this not pretty much how he’s always been?

Having no-one else fit in your position helps, as well.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Except for the whole of last year - bizarre that he wasn’t used and sent on loan. Chambers could then have played in the middle with one of the youngsters.

47 year old Chambers was still better than him though.
