Wasn’t a bad game, just crap errors, which is typical Ipswich, we go again next week with a full week of training and hopefully, the players getting to actually work and play together with no interruptions

People will always boo games we don’t win, we weren’t booed off - I do think some are being too sensitive - the players and management will know more than anyone that it’s not good enough

Fine line between booing the result and being booed off, ultimately they all the the same detriment on the team & staff

Cook isn't making any excuses, he done very well not to call Evans out, how do you manage those type of individual errors?

I wouldn't call it sensitive, I'd call it defending a manager, who on his track record and amount of change this summer deserves time to turn this around

The biggest concern, and Cook seems understandably non-plussed as well, is how do you legislate for individual errors? Just wait and hope they dry up of their own accord?

We're running out of time. One thing rings true under Lambert and Cook - we can't play for 90 minutes. We're a one-half-team right now, and we're out of time if we don't start winning before the end of the month.

Only one team going to win it at the end and it wasn't us,

Ultimately your players have to take responsibility, I need to see the goal again but unlike LW it didn't look like a hospital pass to Evans, more him getting caught taking too many touches.

They need time on the training ground, together with the majority of the squad fit, that's not an excuse, or an acceptance of mediocrity and poor results, just a realisation that at the moment they are doing their learning on the pitch and as a result mistakes are occurring

I've only seen it once but I don't think Evans realised someone was on him so possibly a lack of communication? The ball seemed to bobble as he took a touch which perhaps took it slightly further away from him than he liked. I guess he was planning to turn and find someone but didn't get the time to do so. The pass to him, as you say, didn't seem to be a hospital ball.

A win next week, and then a two week break and things feel a lot better.

People will say it doesn’t matter, but the longer we take to get ribs the more importance is placed on the total failure to make a go at getting to play offs last season.

If people stopped going on about last season people wouldn't talk about it.

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

Bad players and bad teams make errors.

Four games played, no wins and two more points than we deserve. No excuses. This is 100% Cook’s mess. I still believe he should be given to the end of October to do something with this lot. He should also be left in no doubt that with higher standards expected, a relegation fight is not acceptable. Two goals conceded a game = relegation.

Perhaps some casting round/discussion for a replacement should begin. The new manager is going to need the next transfer window.

Wait, you were criticising me for pointing out Cook hasn't delivered anything for us only a couple weeks ago?

a booing stadium is a great way to boost morale lol

You weren't there, it appears.

No booing until the final whistle.

To some, Cook is at least aprtially responsible for last season's end of season collapse so will keep bringing it up. Tough but that's the world of a football manager and I doubt he expects anything else.

Agree. He doesnt want to come straight out and say it as he'd had egg on his face if and when it turns around. But he clearly doesn't like Cook. He's moved on some of his mates at from Playford Road and also got rid of some deadwood academy products who didn't want to be here or who weren't good enough.

This has to be one of the most pathetic posts on this forum, and thats going some.

Joe actually has said he thinks things will work out with Cook, but let's go with your lie instead and follow your narrative.

In your narrative, our results so far show you to be horrendously wrong (as per) and Joe to be right? So you don't have a point.

Youre one of those that idolise whoever a new manager is, don't like it when you're proven wrong because you know nothing about football and to top it off have to get personal with someone like Joe just because he is close to people at the football club and is privy to more information than you.

Get over it.

Watched it a couple of times

Pass to him is fine, poor first touch and a complete lack of awareness of the danger around him - he's put it on a plate.

Not sure there is room in the squad but I'd love a natural defensive midfielder, a Legwinski type. Someone who can snuff out danger.

Burns has to score that, you can say its a good save but he's got the whole goal to hit. 2-0, game over you'd think even with our ability to self destruct

Yes, important game next week, it's a long 2 weeks without a win on the board - but they will benefit this week from no Tuesday game and additional time on the training ground. Hopefully Frasers injury isn't too bad

It does matter, but there is time. Cutting out the individual mistakes has to be priority - Cook knows this judging by his presser

When the 8 shots on target include a few from outside the box comfortable for Hladky, that's not the damning statistic you think it is

They hit the bar twice and only a couple of very good saves stopped it from being 4
