Internal trouble, maybe. Even Oklahoma-style outrages. But I still think a full-blown civil war unlikely. That would require whole states attempting to secede, plus a split in the armed forces. If the latter stay loyal to Washington, any insurrection is doomed to failure.
The right-wing militias lack the numbers, heavy weapons and airpower to mount a sustained rebellion against the state. They only got away with Malheur because the authorities treated the situation with kid gloves, not wanting another Waco. |  |
