25,000 majority and a job for life. Locals would probably still vote for him if he said he ate deep fried kittens. The grisly Philip Davies is another serial objector/filibuster. The whole system needs change.

He’s a Grade A prick and it shames the country that he has been knighted.

Also, despite arguing that as a matter of principle, he always objects to bills which he thinks has been rushed through - he was perfectly happy to attempt to get his private members bill (that reworked the working time directive post-Brexit) to be rushed though.

An absolute dick of a man.

Maybe he wasn't getting the full upskirt view of Angela Rayner and wanted to swap seats, or something?

It's funny which issues 'Mr' Chope considers worthy of more debate and which he doesn't.

Previously, as well as objecting to a private member's bill that would have criminalised "upskirting", he also tried to prevent a debate on Hillsborough.

That one of his constituents is David Duckenfield, and that DD's wife was an active conservative party member, may or may not have influenced that particular piece of sh1thousery.

I don't think he values women's views very much...
