I love my club again. 13:41 - Nov 17 with 3085 views3_5_2

Whilst we have not “won” anything yet, my feelings towards the clubs, players and fan base continues to improve.

The owners “get it” the plans we have for the ground are the polar opposite to ME in his day, mark Ashton has impressed me already, there is a passion for our club I’ve not seen or felt in years.

The support at home plus the incredible away support shows me that most fans can see where the club are trying to be. The recent initiative to pay for fans who may struggle financially (now matched by the staff and players) is another indication of just how different things are at the club

If we can get promoted, the momentum will be huge

I can’t wait for match days and I’m trying very hard to change my work to get to Charlton away, will get a ticket some how !

Anyone else or is it just me!

Things are so much better. I don't think I realised how apathetic towards the team I had become.

I'm still struggling to totally fall in love with all the new players. For instance, whenever there is mention of Evans and Burns I still have to think quite hard to get the mental image of which one is which in my head. To be honest, if Fraser, Burgess or Penney stood in front of me I probably wouldn't recognise them.

It's getting there.

Same for me, player turnover was so extreme it's taking a while to identify with the new set

The way I see it - The Evans Era wasn't "My Club" - It was a sh*tty tribute band.

Mediocre players, mediocre managers, mediocre managers... hapless ceos

I, too, had become very apathetic, but now travel to Portman Road looking forward to games - since a very long time.

I decided at the start of the season that Burns would be my favourite player, because he was the only one I could easily identify! Not a bad punt as it turned out. Apart from the two blonde ones (Piggott and Coulsen), from where I sit in Magnus upper most of the rest have short dark hair so I need to see their numbers to work out who's who.

Things definitely seem to be going in the right direction and the fans supporting the ticket initiative is really heart warming.

While still being a season ticket hoIder, I haven't been able to get to any games this season (other than the West Ham Pizza Cup match) due to now playing men's football rather than youth, and more significantly due to me being at university. I must say I'm a bit rueful that I'm not able to really experience what its like at the moment.

I've never been one with high demands for the team, possibly due to the fact that I prefer to play than watch these days so I'm not a win at all cost type in regards to Ipswich, this coupled with impossibly low expectations having become a fan in 2010. Unlike most I can tolerate Ipswich being in League One. All I've ever really wanted to see is a team that goes for it in every match, that goes out to attack every team. It seems like we've got that at the moment. I'm very much looking forward to the Wycombe game, which will be the first League game and the first game back in the Cobbold I'll have been to since March 2020.

I survived Ipswich 0-0 Burton
