People take this board way too seriously.
99.9% of Town fans just want Town to do well and couldn't give a sh1t about a message board and if it's harmonious or whatever.

Town fans are no different to every other club's fans. Literally every single club in the UK at least, has the same divisions. The drama from a few on here is absurd.
Good decision to get rid of Cook imo. Some decisive action and ruthlessness we've not seen from Evans. Reckon Cook knew his goose was cooked a week or two ago judging by his comments lately. I liked his honesty and passion but he gambled everything on having better players to belligerently make his one system work. No plan B or discernible tactical nous beyond plan A, and coaching seemed non existent. One or even two steps back for every one forward. Simply not good enough, even in the "short" time he had.
Knowing Town we'll make a left field appointment who'll start well then it all goes tits up. It's the ITFC way.
Oh, and did I say fook off Evans? Arf.

There was only ever a very small handful of people actually calling for Cook to go. The polarisation of the fan base in my view came from anyone who offered legitimate criticism of Cook constantly being labelled as an outer and accused of having some kind of agenda. It was tedious and tiresome. |

What is it 11 wins in 40 games under Cook. We would have been in a relegation battle over the course of a 46 games season.
It’s just been one of those appointments where it hasn’t really worked for whatever reason. I can’t say I’ve ever been an outer but the pedestal some of our fans have put him on is frankly laughable without anything to back it up.
The few highs have been very good but it’s all been very mediocre. I wasn’t one of those thinking we would win the league easily that was very unlikely to happen given all the changes made and it was going to be a 2 year turnaround for me. Where this leaves us now, who knows. |

i agree with that. and we need to back the next manager. but i hope this time we can avoid the over the top response to every signing and every departure. the line that cook was assembling the greatest squad ever to grace league one, and each signing was a miraculous coup, and that everyone who left was talentless or geriatric got rather dull. of course i exaggerate to make the point. |

I'd be surprised. The new manager will be their own pick and whilst players and sides have a ceiling I tend to think the also have a floor and my view is that Cook managed to take us to around our floor. There's too much quality in the squad for us to be worse than a nothing midtable club and I'd expect a new manager coming in to be able to exceed that level of performance without too much trouble. Time will tell of course, but I see this as a positive move. | |

Yes, because of the previous manager's poor performance we have no chance of automatic promotion now. The play offs are possible, they'll require a big upturn in form but the players should be good enough to achieve that. | |
