Raked it in haven't they. As a supposed Christian I'm sure he will leave at least his own share to a children's home when he dies. Maybe an orphanage somewhere in the Middle East.

Movers and shakers aren't they. all life choices aimed squarely at climbing the greasy pole, even down to partner choices (lawyers, etc.). My parents had some friends like that, it's a real eye opener in how some people think and operate. Making connections based solely on their worth to your career, hosting endless receptions and diner parties, etc. Non-exec directorships everywhere. I'm sure it's all very pleasant having a £3m Georgian townhouse in a leafy suburb of London, but I couldn't be bothered with the hassle to get there.

Yep. When a Tory government is in a hole it's usually time for a war or a royal wedding. In this case it's let's kick out some foreigners.

Tory rather then the 'B' word surely? Even then I should think many will be horrified how this lot have turned out. I hate them but even so didn't expect this level of widespread wrongness.

Meanwhile in planet Tory... on 10:16 - Dec 15 by clive_baker | Even if you're a heartless piece of sh1t and take any human element out of it, which we've come to expect from this bunch of charlatans, what cluster of clueless thickos thinks that's a good idea in a country that already has a shortage of workers across various industries. |
Boris Johnson for one. He mentioned the number of job vacancies across the UK as a positive in PMQs today. Trying to frame this as some kind of job creation spree rather than a labour (with a small l) crisis.
