It's a very high calibre of coach for ITFC 17:55 - Dec 16 with 5158 views | SomethingBlue | McKenna and the people he is bringing are really, really top-notch coaches, don't worry about that, really well rated at the top of the game. The level is really high, a real step up on anything I can remember. Question in the long term will be how they are served by other departments of the club, particularly recruitment-wise I'd say. Very high ceiling to this if it goes well but it's a very new world now and the risks are inescapable. [Post edited 16 Dec 2021 17:56]

He also won the Dutch league with an unfancied team and got the England manager's job. He's prob not the best example of failure!

I won't mention how he did as manager of England...

He's up there amongst the worst to have had it. We'll out of depth. In the Dutch league you really only have to worry about 2 or 3 teams. He's hasn't managed for how long? A very good coach, not a good manager

The fact that he was promoted from U18 to first team coach at Utd by Jose and Rangnick had kept it on give me confidence. I’m so much more excited about this than any of the other potential appointments. I’m not expecting overnight miracles but steady progress on the pitch, not measured by results initially but a clear way of playing, players understanding their roles and adaptability in formation. Good luck Kieran

Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating for him being one of the greats, just not sure I'd call him a failure either.
