McKenna- respect- Sir Bob 10:18 - Dec 19 with 3037 views | chrismakin | Saw a post on Friday I think it was, about how KM might struggle to gain respect from players due to age.. I don't agree with that. However, could some older posters share what sort of gent Sir Bobby was when he started... was he a shouty shout manager or just calm, smart and therefor gained respect. Did his age ever come up as a potential problem when he came in?

However, as Sone Aluko says in that inteview, several of the players already knew who he is, one or two have even worked with him before.

McKenna- respect- Sir Bob on 10:56 - Dec 19 by Keno | well he hasn't won a game yet and has a 0% win ratio!! what do you expect |
Reminds me of our last few managers win record Cook, lambert and hurst. Didn’t they all take 10 games for a win? Crazy poor starts considering

Was nice to see that KVY has worked with him before.... IF we can get the old KVY back as LWB, we've got a great balance to both flanks.

Perhaps pro players (at whatever level) are a bit more clued up than us. Just a thought.

McKenna- respect- Sir Bob on 12:49 - Dec 19 by Dubtractor | May sixth has already stated he will fail, and Keanish reckons he has already lost he dressing room. I absolutely wasn't talking about people like you or chelters here. |
I’d like to assume you were lying or on the windup but as it’s you….hardly surprising though is it? Imagine making such bold statements daily and claiming def info or some higher understanding only to be so regularly wrong and a laughing stock. Must do something to egos so big and arrogance so misplaced as these types. But when it comes down to it, they’re a rabble who fell in love with Cooks old work and the idea of redemption from their prior failures as the insightful voices of the board.

That’s sounds right with Keane also. So only MM won under 10 games in our last 5 or 6 managers #shocking

McKenna- respect- Sir Bob on 16:09 - Dec 19 with 268 views | OldFart71 | I do question why we should have concerns regarding McKenna any more than we had concerns with the last five managers who all proved one way or another that they weren't up to it. No doubt there will be those who would have gone for someone who had "Done the rounds" But neither a "Star" type manager, a tried and trusted manager or even an up and coming manager have proven anything but disappointing. McKenna isn't any of these as he hasn't managed before. Yes, a gamble. But the previous favourites have all either fallen at the first fence or only got half way around before being pulled up having found the going too tough.
