Who have you seen that's given the best performance at PR 09:45 - Jan 20 with 2167 viewswkj

... but playing against us.

A few come to mind, but never was I so jealous of Bolton when they had Eidar Gudjonson. What a player he was in the day.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce (Rotherham)

Yes, JCR. Standing ovation when he was subbed and the crowd singing sign him up.

I love the fact that tiny moment in the history of Portman Road is still remembered to this day. Where even is Campbell-Ryce now?

I remember David James looking imperious for Villa at the start of the 2000-01 season at PR in the game where Luc Nilis suffered that awful injury.

I remember him playing against us in his first season for Watford, he was absolutely superb

Ilie Dumitrescu For Spurs in the early Premier league years. Can’t remember what season but I think it was a Tuesday night and we lost 4-2? He was unplayable and I still think Micky Stockwell still has nightmares

Denis Law for Man U 1960's and Klinsmann/Sheringham for Spurs 1980's.

Lallana played us at walking pace in 2011 for Southampton alongside Lambert. He also looked a class act in the cup at St Mary's a year or two earlier.

According to Wikipedia (yeah I know) he's currently the manager of Peterborough's U18s

A young Steven Gerrard the day they beat us 6-0. Absolutely ran the game.

Kenny Dalglish in about 79. Never laid a glove on the bloke and he scored the winner in the twinkling of an eye.

John Robertson, who Burley mentions, made our lives a misery in the 78 night game that we lost 2-0. Fat, unlikely looking bloke but boy could he play.

Kinsmann in the defeat to Spurs. Unplayable.

Ian Wright. Made our lives a misery just about every time he played against us.

Eidar Gudjonson Is the best player I’ve ever seen in the Championship.

Jermaine Defoe was also fantastic but don’t remember the precise match.

Special mention to a Crewe defender (can’t remember anything about him apart that he was black). An absolute donkey but we just couldn’t get past him. He was slicing and hoofing and Mia-controlling the ball but he was still like a brick wall. Joe Royal era I think.

Javier Zanetti was pretty decent.

Pfffft it took him 2 years to get out of Jamie Claphams pocket.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

I thought Paul Merson was as good as anyone both seasons we were last in the Prem.

I distinctly remember coming out of the Churchman's after Brazil had scored five against Southampton and everyone was raving about Keegan's performance!
