Probably one of the best away ends I've ever been in... 09:57 - Jan 26 with 8915 views | TresBonne | Last night. Sung for 90 minutes. For once on a London away, our fans were actually sensible. Unreal limbs for the goals. Only bad thing was the stewards, who tf did they think they were? MI6? [Post edited 26 Jan 2022 10:00]

I am sure it does vary depending on where you were in the ground but my experience was that they were very tolerant and certainly not looking for trouble.

I was in 113 and although some of their dress was a bit out of the ordinary I thought they were very good and certainly not looking for trouble. They could have been much stricter with their efforts to keep the aisles clear-there must have been a lot of unused seats somewhere in our end. |
I think a lot of people who had seats in the corner infills probably stood in aisles behind the goal...for a sell out there were dozens of empty seats in block 111.

There obviously must have been a lot of empty seats somewhere. I was on the end of a row in 113 and there must have been about fifteen or twenty stood in the aisle with no intention of using whatever seats their tickets said.

Noticed that as well. Had a feeling that was going to happen. I was in the front row of area 112, right next to the exit, bar/kiosk, so easy just to come in and stand in the aisle which was quite crowded. Security spent a lot of time just moving people out of aisles & restricted areas.

Yep, I was in block 111 and was it maybe 2/3 full at most near me.

This particularly gets my goat is when coppers don’t want won’t to know when you explain your car is parked in a completely different direction. Not all Town fans are going back to Ipswich or travelling via the train. I enjoy the away matches but some of the so-called organisation is anything but |
I have been hugely irritated when going to QPR when the plod used to force the Town fans back to White City tube station as they felt the majority would be on the Central Line to Liverpool Street. I wanted to go to Shepherd's Bush Market to get a Metropolitan Line train to King's Cross.

I had seats back row directly behind the goal which was filled with the usual vociferous crowd when I arrived but didn’t fancy forgoing the good seats I’d got so went for an aisle a few blocks down at the back row with a mate. Probably frowned upon but better than kicking people out my seats possibly. I assume most away games these days ignore seat allocations? Seems to have been the case in the majority of away games I’ve been to this season.

Probably one of the best away ends I've ever been in... on 09:57 - Jan 27 by coolcat | Well I was there & I didn't think they were. It was particularly cold & the wearing of balaclavas was a sensible move & doubled up as face masks. Not all wore balaclavas where I was in area 112. I didn't think there was any evidence they were spoiling for a fight. If anything they didn't do enough to protect the disabled person in a wheelchair who was caught up in the 'wave' for the 1st goal & had to leave straight after. They did better stemming the crowd for the 2nd. They spent a lot of the game asking people not to stand in the aisle. Much more of a hands off approach than hands on. |
Why downvote my post when I stated they were actually alright in my opinion?

Someone was in my seat when I arrived so I stood in the aisle for the first half, not really through choice. Moved to the right hand side corner bit for the second half and there was plenty of space.

Yes sorry. I was assuming that everyone that was standing in an aisle were doing so because they decided that that was what they were going to do. I did not consider that some, such as you, had been made 'homeless' by a squatter.

This is a reason why the "sit where you like" policy for away fans isn't a good idea, especially as it then becomes "stand where you like".
