I’ll never forget the first time I went to America 30 years ago. We were driving through some small place and stopped for lunch. On the way to finding somewhere we passed a gun shop. It was laid out like a normal shop with sales, managers specials, gun of the week. It was a weird thing to see first hand.
The argument of it’s the person not the gun just doesn’t stack up for me. Ok, free societies will always have guns and violence in it, but if you make them illegal/licensed as they are in most countries and remove as many as possible, surely with less availability the numbers of gun related injuries and death would reduce? Ok, knives kill, but you can hit an awful lot more people with a gun than a knife.
I just can’t see America facing up to this. There are too many idiots like trump able to make too much noise. |  | | |
