It is those that run towards adversity every day, fire fighters and police in Arizona, their pension money is funding our great club. Firefighters run into burning buildings and tackle fires.
We run towards the opposition and tackle them on a football pitch.
It's bloody obvious what it means and the comparison is relevant given the link to the pension fund. Take them on, will to win regardless of how tough it may be etc. Sounds fine to me, bit cheesey but it's on the inside of the shirt so whatevs. Really not worth getting excited about and this whole thread does just smack a bit of a few people can't wait to have a moan about absolutely anything where ITFC is concerned. |  |

Jesus, reading this thread makes me wonder about some people.
Simply take it that Adversity is a 'difficult situation' and not the literal raging fire or certain death that most seem to imply.
Take it then that the motto challenges the players to stand up and be counted in the face of said difficult situations and not hide or run from them and hopefully you can make the connection.
Anyone who runs from a difficult situation is going nowhere in life, certainly not out of league 1 in this context.
