I said I was out but this is so fcukwitted I'm going to post this, from a left wing British Jew. Not my words. But if you really don't understand why it's racist aiming those comments at members of a BAME community as opposed to "British white caucasians of no particular religion" then you are a lost cause.

"It’s the introducing of “English” and “lived in this country a very long time” that is troubling: as if they, these “others”, don’t really belong, don’t get Englishness, like there’s us and them. Whoever JC meant to target, he othered them, designated them as alien."

"If you say they - whoever they are - don’t understand *English* irony, as opposed to just irony, you’re saying they are not fully English. “They” are not like “us”. It’s othering. Why include the “English”?

"Only if this group were from abroad would it make sense if they didn’t get something English. But “they’ve lived in this country a very long time, some of them all their lives” makes it clear they’re from here but they’ll never quite belong. Us and them, I’m afraid".

You can have the last word on the internet if you want. I'm done for the day.

LOL at your last word comment. Let's not forget you brought all this up by digging up a 3 year old post. It's you who was desperate to win the interwebz not me.

I'm not saying aiming those comments at a member of a BAME community is the same as aiming them at British white caucasians. You'd have to be a fcukwitted lost cause, or disingenuous, if you took that from my post.

They haven't been aimed at either!
I'm saying if you can bring them in to make it look worse, I can bring BWC in to make it look better. Either way, these weren't the people referenced, and as Darth has said, you've removed all context of them being rude zionists yobs. They were 'othered', if you like, for those 3 qualities. Not their ethnicity.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

“Whoever JC meant to target ...”

This is where you and Schneider lose the plot. You know exactly who Corbyn was targeting, Richard Millett and Jonathan Hoffman – two notorious scumbag extremists who disrupt pro-Palestinian meetings and have been thrown out of Parliament even. And who happened to start their protest because they were too stupid to pick up on the Palestinian speaker’s use of irony in his second language and presumably their first.

It takes no real research to find this stuff out. Plus the exact context for Corbyn’s words instead of ascribing another meaning. And it’s total bad faith to pretend otherwise.

Pronouns: He/Him
