Confused 10:28 - Jul 16 with 1498 views | Alberto_the_frog | We were decidedly one sided last season. Now with KVY hopefully returning to boost the right side even more, what do we sign? Yet another competitor for those positions.

Confused on 13:13 - Jul 16 with 1322 views | Swansea_Blue | We're must be planning to overload a lot on the right! Harness probably as a the right sided number 10 with Burns at wing back still? That means Chaplin would have to shift to the left or play as the focal point. No natural room for Jackson in that setup though. We're possibly shaping up for a few square pegs in round holes. Possibly.

Thats my feeling too, Harness as the right sided 10, Chappers as the left sided 10. The other one that briefly ran through my head late last night, is maybe, now that Davis is unlikely to happen, could be that Burns goes over to LWB, as he plays for Wales with Leigh as back up for that position.

I think we will be very fluid. Edwards, Jackson, JJ, Harness, Chaplin, Aluko can all play in various roles. We aren't going to have players rigidly playing in a set position every week or even within the same game. I think the 5 subs change could give us a decent advantage this season too.

Chaplin has be starting and getting a proper run of game; he’s a real source of goals. I agree it seems it’s Chaplin left and Harness right playing behind Ladapo or a final significant signing But can Chaplin actually play left side effectively. Burns right wing back, with KVY being given the last 20mins of games. A new left wing back, backed up by Leigh Jackson can some on for Harness Aluko for Chaplin and Harness JJ for Ladapo Evans as back up for Evans Ndaba and Burgess back up the 3 CBs I wonder if is seen as ahead of Harper and El Miz to back up Morsy, 1 or 2 of those will be shipped out It’s a strong squad, but needs the LWB and additional striker

Think we'll just see a lot of rotation and subs used, rather than square pegs in round holes.... I mean, it's one thing putting the best 11 down on paper.. But to play at decent tempo for the entire season? They'll be managed, to go the distance, imo... No room for prima donna's . Just a squad, getting the job done, game by game... The 5 subs thing, really does make it a squad effort, this year, imo...
Confused on 15:03 - Jul 16 with 1051 views | Chrisd | If KVY is fit and firing, he can play on both sides so he offers that cover. Just hope he stays injury free because only 12 months ago, he was deemed by many as one of our best players in the squad. [Post edited 16 Jul 2022 20:39]

Concern is that I’m not sure rotating suited Chaplin for example Needs a run of games… I’d rather see a fairly settled starting 11… with a set of 3-4 regular changes that the team gets used to.. for example KVY, Jackson and Aluko joining the fray at 70mins

Confused on 17:53 - Jul 16 with 746 views | FrimleyBlue | Ensure the attention goes to the right side. Then either leigh or davis if he joins enjoys more freedom on the left.in league 1 Not many clubs will be able to cover both sides for 90 minutes. It takes a hell of a lot of team movement.
