Miss F didn't quite get the A Levels she wanted on 09:25 - Aug 18 by dickie | This. Some places still offer the places if it's not too far away |
yes they'd (Uni of Liverpool) already sent her an e mail saying she'd been unsuccessful (ie. before she even knew her results!)

Miss F didn't quite get the A Levels she wanted on 10:22 - Aug 18 by belgablue | Definitely check with the first choice uni before doing anything else. I was the wrong side of my predicted grades back in the day but was still offered my place, so fingers crossed for you. |
may do for a slightly lesser degree but they e mailed her turning her down before she'd even got the results!
Miss F didn't quite get the A Levels she wanted on 12:22 - Aug 18 with 478 views | Skip_Intro | if she applied for a prticular course at a chosen Uni phone the uni - they sometimes accept lower grades - esp as results are down this year vs the last 2 years...nothing to lose by asking...

Miss F didn't quite get the A Levels she wanted on 11:20 - Aug 18 by Cotty | Context: I used to have a role which included UG admissions at a Russell group University Go early and go hard. A lot of the better courses will fill up and close for clearing early. They do not wait to put good courses on later, they want to pick up the best students as soon as possible. Also always ring up her first choice first, they may be willing to take her (although looking less likely this year). We used to take students who missed out by one grade (in a subject other than that of the course) as standard. [Post edited 18 Aug 2022 11:21]

That sounds like a breach of the UCAS embargo and should be investigated. There should be nothing which indicates outcomes before the results are officially published at 8:00 this morning.
