I think this is the best quality football we've played under McKenna, which is saying something.

Passing of Burley’s teams, strength of Robson’s.

Lovely to watch.

Yeah, but we need to make more of the opportunities when we're on top

That was close form them - lovely strike by (their) Evans.

Worries me when we don't put games to bed when on top, especially when we were so on top. Hopefully KM can reset them.

All our players are playing so well, that, strange to say, Morsy and Burns no longer stand out.

I love that it's progressive too. Under Lambert it was passing for passing sake rather than this, where we pass to move people into space and create gaps for others to move. It's great to see and perhaps a sign of more modern coaching.

It was until they went deep. Then we slowed down and looked like we didn't know how to get at them again.

Tricky 2nd half this.

a niche perspective

Two of the biggest differences are that we move the ball at pace and keep it moving. We have willing runners to create space.

The biggest single thing is KM allows them to play without fear. I bet he won't rip them a new one if there is a mistake or two 'if' they are trying to do the right thing. Playing with freedom.

We did play the ball in front of them but the space we also created was excellent. Creating v good chances too.

This aged well. Well done for taking this one for the team.

Happy that prediction didn't come true. Still can't quite believe we are doing so well. Takes some getting used to.

Doesn't it just, been too long and we've got far too used to mediocrity. This regime from every aspect of the club, from top management to everyone working hard in the guts of the club, to the backroom staff to the players, is just a galaxy away from what we've had to put up with. Very happy.
