Leigh looks a player every time I've seen him. I love his running, positivity and sharpness. There's something about Davis though - I think he's 2nd best at the moment, but he's growing and could have a much higher ceiling then Leigh. McK and his team could develop hll of a player there.
Doesn't really matter which we start with. We're in a great place. The best 2 LBs we've had for ages - they've turned up like London buses. |  |

Conversely I thought he had a very good game. In the first half all our most dangerous attacks came through him. He looks class to me. |  |

He was great last night. We liked so dangerous with him giving us a left sided option. Far more dangerous than down the right.

I think Leigh benefits from coming on for the last half hour where we're typically turning the screw against tired legs, but I have been very impressed.
Conversely, I think Davis gives us superb balance. Our options at left CB are less mobile and forward-thinking and than Janoi on the right, and I think Davis has been more of a threat than Wes recently with less support. If the latter finds his groove we'll really mean business. [Post edited 14 Sep 2022 9:20]

I thought Davis was a real threat and showed some really smart moments and also got back well in terms of recovery if they seized the ball.
That being said Leigh is a proper beast of a player, really impressed with him too.
Let's be honest, if either of those two play, you're not going to be wondering what's going on.
Though Evans was a proper class act last night, my only very small gripe, is that there were moments where a much more direct and positive pass were available, but I very much doubt he's instructed to look for that.
I just love Chaplin and everything he does, he works his socks off and is an infectious character up the top of the pitch, him and Ladapo work really well creating space, Harness had a quieter game, as did Burns, who I think looks a bit short on confidence, but shouldn't, he's been identified as a threat and teams have loaded up on that side to negate him and JD somewhat.
Then Woolfy, JD and Burgess were all sublime, Woolfy made a small error but I'll allow him that given how well he's starting to step out of defence and JD is just, well...JD! Fair play to Burgess too for stepping up, hope he's not out too long, but to have Keogh and Edmundson as back up is a treat!
All round good team performance, still think there's more to come and there will be an inevitable bump in this road at some point, but it's weird to feel like it'll be just a bump and not a decent should that be encountered.
Next 3 will be tough, but will not determine our whole season either. |  | | |

I rate him but he misplaced half a dozen easy passes in the second half one of which led to the Burgess injury.
He has been excellent for us but tonight albeit the first 30 mins when the whole team were on it he was not up to his usual standards of late.
