Can't agree with the fans blaming the ref, he wasn't too bad against one team (relatively).

Morsy booked for a 50/50? Looked like a red to me.

Annoying from Chappers, what a silly place and situation to try and buy a foul. And Edmundsen... Jesus. Frustrating errors/decisions costing us rather than being under the cosh particularly.

Good game though and fair play to the Pilgrim scorers, cracking strikes. We didn't have our shooting boots on. We will come back fine.

Agree with Blooters re subs. Easy to forget how green KmC is though... he'll be learning from all this (presumably).

The ball is up by the advertising hoarding if you can't see it. He's not Jet Set Willy (reference for the kids). Nothing wrong with physically putting yourself in front of someone as a ball is dropping.

No, I get that. But imo his first thought is getting a freekick not fighting for the ball itself and imo why he failed to get the freekick. He'd been done a couple of times for it earlier in the game.

a niche perspective

Not going to second-guess Chaplin's thought process but Houghton's stumbled into him elbow first, Chaplin's just stood in a position and got knocked over, long before the ball is anywhere near them both. Whatever decision he makes Houghton's going to come through him or win that header.

No. Standard legitimate block, get deliberately knocked over by opponent, normally a foul would be given & you'd get a free kick. On any part of the pitch.

'normally a foul would be given & you'd get a free kick'

There's a whole load of things that normally happen, all over the pitch - it doesn't mean they're right.

It's a tactic to take the pressure off your team that has been allowed to become commonplace. It's just buying a foul, not actually being fouled.

I'd agree if it wasn't for him being halfway to the floor before the player touches him

He'll learn from it. That's the main thing.

He won't, because the next time he does it he'll get away with it. Therefore, in a way you can't blame him, although I'd prefer him to have tried to block/win the ball instead of buying fouls.

Watch an opposition player do that against us and everyone get the hump - it'll be quite funny.

The ref was strange.

Harness got a yellow for a late ankle nip. Yet davis only 1 minute later got taken out by the sideline in the same manner, we got the freekick but no card.
Same with the challenge on donacien altho strangley the ref looked away as the challenge was made for no logical reason at that point.

Harness had already got away with one a few mins earlier.

We're quite a niggly team really, we deserve most of the cards we get.

Look where the ball is when the collision happens, "just clear it" wasn't much of an option

OK I accept that but an attempt to close down the scorer would have been the better option than trying to buy a foul IMO .

As you can see from that still, Chaplin was knocked over before the ball even touched the ground, although he’s a very clever player I’m not sure his clairvoyance skills are that well developed to know he was even going to get a chance to shoot as he positioned himself to shield the ball.

He ran into the player and went down. That's how I saw it. Irrelevant where the ball was, to my point anyway.

I get that this is six of one and half a dozen of the other though.

Except for the ref it was a round dozen, against us😡😡😡😡

I get that people have a different view, what amazes me is those who expect us to stand for some idyllic principle of playing the game the way they think it should be played,

While I might not like, say, Morsy ploughing into tackles the way he did on Sunday, or buying free kicks, that’s the way the game is (was it Revie’s Leeds who started all this sh1thousing?) and we’ve only recently showed that we have the willingness to fight fire with fire.
