His pace does seem to give sides problems. Wes seems slightly of the pace at the moment .

Kayden Jackson on 18:36 - Oct 15 with 926 views | DarkHorse | Yeah, he gets him into some great positions and he's seemingly putting the ball into the right areas, but nobody is gambling on them. So frustrating. Is he supposed to be cutting them back every time? You'd assume not. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Except he didn't. He delayed and put it behind him.

Dunno how, the one I'm talking about the defenders swept out at the near post and TJJ stopped his run so he didn't meet it, so unless TJJ teleported from off the pitch it definitely isn't the same ball across.

Kayden Jackson on 08:59 - Oct 16 with 523 views | LankHenners | Could do with being better at having more players moving into a position to gamble on the ones he lashes across the face of goal. It's not just him - there’s been a few occasions in matches where someone’s hit it through the six yard box but it’s missed whoever’s at the front post then there’s no one behind them and it goes all the way through. Not sure what happened with the one when TJJ went for the cutback and Jackson went for the smash across the box. Just needed one of them to read the other better and it was a tap in. One of several moments when a touch of composure would have seen a goal.

I think to be honest both of you are correct. Jackson possibly could have played the ball earlier as JJ was demonstrating. That would have made his mind up for him and he'd have been through 1v1. However he checked his run because he didnt think Jackson could put the ball in to the area he would be able to recieve it. Turns out the cross was so good if he'd have just carried on his run JJ would have had a tap in. And by the way, that was at least the 3rd brilliant ball Jackson put in without anyone on the end of it. If we still had Norwood he'd have tucked at least 1 of those away.

I don’t think we necessarily lacked chance creation, certainly not in the second half. I think I have to agree we just weren’t clinical. There were a number of decent balls into the box that just needed a toe or head on them. Not sure TJJ is that player, I’d be interested to see a bit more of Adamhe, he did manage to but away a few goals in a fairly poor Burton team. Edit - but important to add perspective, first league game we’ve failed to score and were top scorers so no need to panic TWTD style. [Post edited 16 Oct 2022 9:35]

I think this post is spot on, but to be honest the signs have been there all season in terms of being clinical. We create so many chances, its just more evidence that we need a natural finisher who makes intelligent runs.
