Town/giving money back 15:18 - Nov 11 with 3578 views | FrimleyBlue | Might just be me. And it's quite awkward considering the club I used to run.. but why do we keep seeing fans asking for town to help other clubs financially. Firstly it was Bracknell who tbh have plenty of money for the level they are at and most certainly don't need help. Now Buxton have announced coach tickets.. and the club has had town fans tagging them in saying hope we help them out. Imo. We aren't a charity, so imo I think the requests for helping other clubs needs to stop.

Town/giving money back on 15:55 - Nov 11 with 3344 views | LankHenners | There seems to be a growing obsession in some quarters of football with having things being 'classy', whether that be a good away following at a far away ground or things like in the OP. Fans then want their club to show such touches of class as they want to feel very good about themselves for supporting a 'classy' club. Would be a nice gesture for sure but not sure it's necessary nor should people be calling for the club to do it.

This. With the media now having 24 hours to fill i'm sure the first person to suggest it is hoping for their 15 minutes of fame.

Innit. Shake my head on a daily basis at the lengths people go to for likes from strangers.

Town/giving money back on 06:24 - Nov 12 with 2470 views | ElephantintheRoom | No idea what you’re talking about but perhaps these supporters are hankering a bit for what the club used to be, rather than what it has become - and identify with ‘small clubs’ In which case they’ll be enjoying themselves at the Cheltenham game. A chance to see a club from a small town, based in that town, punching above its weight with a number of home-grown players

Not sure Charlton, Lincoln & Cambridge fans will agree I’m sure they found us charitable.

Town/giving money back on 10:17 - Nov 12 with 2163 views | bluelagos | Seems to me you're wrong on a couple of points. Firstly, suggestions of helping with the cost of coaches is for the Buxton fans, not Buxton FC. The fans are the ones people are suggesting we help out. Second, we may not be a charity, but the club do lots of charitable things. Why anyone would object to that I have no idea. And suggesting those who suggested helping are "doing it for likes" seems to be judging people by your own standards. It is possible to wish to help people because you like to help people. I think it would be a nice gesture and would recognise the massive inconvenience the kick off is making. Shame the FA don't step in seeing as how it seems to be their decision. But we all know that won't happen.

So you want a club to pay for another clubs supporters for choosing to travel to watch a game of football? How bizarre.

Not if you support a team whose supporters did a collection to help Helsingborg pay a fine after Town fans invaded the pitch.

But that's supporters choosing to do something about something fans contributed to. I'm talking about fans asking clubs to pay for things.

You don't see the difference between the club paying for something that is their fault/responsibility, and travel?!
Town/giving money back on 15:52 - Nov 12 with 1838 views | Nthsuffolkblue | If we pay for their team's coach travel, we could have them dropped at Copdock and have to find their own way in from there!

I think it's a lot more bizarre you or anyone else objecting to the idea (raised by others) that our club could help some away fans of a non league side, who have been royally messed around by the match being moved. If the club help, great. If they don't, no worries. But I can't see why on earth you or anyone else would object to the idea. It's not your money, it's the clubs'.
