Having watched Tunisia beat France just through steely determination earlier I wouldn't be so sure about writing Poland off. They were cleaner against Argentina (or perhaps the Argentines were just too fast and clever) but I watched Poland play Mexico in the first group match and was shocked by the number of times Polish studs scraped Mexican shins or stamped down on boots. That the Poles managed to do so without racking up enough bookings to look like failing the level goal difference test was indicative of the way we get numbed to bad football, and whilst France have great attacking options there is a lack of grit in defence and defensive midfield. |  |

Poland never deserved to go through. Such a glaring lack of any courage, lack of fight. Lewandowski isolated from the rest of the team.
I know that was Argentina today but that was the same kind of football they had offered against Mexico in their first game.
They are somehow through though and they are going to produce the same anti-football against France. |  | | |
