Biggest game of the season so far tonight? 12:15 - Dec 29 with 3757 views | Wallingford_Boy | Seems to be thought of that way and rightly so. On paper looks like a Town win, but you never know with us and our frailty against the "big" sides. We win and the season really lifts off, we don't and it could easily go the other way.. I'd take a point.

Biggest game of the season so far tonight? on 12:21 - Dec 29 with 2219 views | BarcaBlue | Just another game we need 3 points from, no bigger than the Oxford match for example. Portsmouth are not a "big" side and I don't think we've shown any fragility against teams nearer the top this season.

I'd maybe check our results this season mate. Derby the only one of the top 7 we've beaten.

We didn't look fragile, none of the top 7 have outplayed us.

That has no bearing on a individual game…..plus Portsmouth are not top 7 as you put it. [Post edited 29 Dec 2022 16:09]

Refs cost us against Barnsley and Wednesday. Plymouth is the only game against those around us where I maybe had a concern we didn't have an answer. Tonight is just another game. The big ones will be the home games against Plymouth and Wednesday plus our trip to Oakwell.

Portsmouth are 11th, we’ve beaten a number of the sides above them and should have beaten most of the rest.

That's a bit of a red herring though. Pompey were top 7 when we beat them. So were Posh. Think either Cambridge or Exeter were top seven when we beat them.

They didn’t outplay us. They were better for the last 20 minutes but we should have been 2 or 3 up by the time we let them get back in the game. You really come across as one of those Town fans who cannot handle us doing well. [Post edited 29 Dec 2022 13:13]

So are Portsmouth are not a big team then? As they are not in the top 7? Which makes your original post seem a bit strange. Or are you calling them a big team? If so, you need to add them, Port Vale, Bristol Rovers and Peterborough to Derby as big teams we’ve beaten this year. [Post edited 29 Dec 2022 13:09]

We were second best for the last half an hour, should have scored a second when we were on top, so no, not really.

Biggest game of the season so far tonight? on 12:57 - Dec 29 with 1925 views | The_Flashing_Smile | "We win and the season really lifts off, we don't and it could easily go the other way.." The season has already lifted off. And failing to win tonight doesn't remotely suggest we'll go the other way. The only thing that isn't nonsense about that sentence is the spelling, which was quite good.

I'd say the it has been the complete opposite this season. We've beaten Derby, Peterborough, Oxford, MK Dons, and Portsmouth and drawn with Bolton and Barnsley at home. We've drawn away to Sheff Wed (were close to winning), and lost to Plymouth and Wycombe. They are all teams that have been in and around the play offs/been in the Championship in recent years.

Biggest game of the season so far tonight? on 13:17 - Dec 29 with 1740 views | BlueStreak | I'd rather we had a real go and lost rather than accept a 0-0 draw. Stuff that, it isn't what we about and why should it be? Nice to see you being negative about towns prospects though rather than just going on about Jackson at every opportunity. Some of our fan base remains extremely odd.
