Ask again in May. If we are second on goal difference, it is a good point. If we finish 3rd by less than 3 points, it is 2 dropped.

Overall 4 points from Pompey is a decent return.

As a standalone result, a good one. With Plymouth, Wednesday and Barnsley all winning... meh.

Come from behind twice away from home, one goal late on, it’s a good point for me.

Gotta say 2 points dropped cos of Pompey under the cosh on 21:51 - Dec 29 with 2254 viewsDyland

It's an away point though against supposed challengers, and at a tough place to go. So whatever, I say :)

That’s a hard fought point that keeps us Second.
I feel like Pompey definitely upped their game because it was against us so that’s a point gained.
At 2-1 I really felt we were done but credit to the lads, kept plugging and Chappers rescued us the point.
It’s these sort of results that get Promotion, having to dig deep and come up with answers when the clock is ticking down.

Yes, just watched it.

Hundreds of passeds from us, Portsmouth sitting deep and we couldn't create a lot.

We just try to walk with the ball into the net.

It's 2 points dropped.

It’ll be interesting to see how Sheffield snd Plymouth do at Fratton park. I think I know the answer .

There's more to this game than the point we earned. Showed a lot of character to come from behind twice away at Pompey.. We weren't at our very very best in and around the box. But our midfield was immense. And earning that late equaliser will give the lads a lot of belief and togetherness for what lies ahead.... Good result.

1 is better than none....at 85mins we were losing.

So it's a good results.

As I said earlier...I'd have taken a point at the start.

Had Ladapo been a touch more clinical we'd have won IMHO.

However, non-stop passing has made a lot of goals for us this season. Waiting patiently for the gaps, then splitting teams wide open.

If anything, the issue is with being watertight at the back on some occasions.

100% gained. We were the better team but they were giving everything tonight Pompey.

We do need to go and beat Lincoln though and that's a good Christmas period.

I concur. They say curiosity killed the cat but cautiousness up top and carelessness at the back cost us tonight. Did anyone else feel as though we didn't trust the run of the ball on that bobbly, cut up pitch? Or was it just a facet of how Pompey played us? Either way, we don't look that comfortable playing headers and volleys to me.

Well...they never stopped passing g which ended up creating the opportunity against a team camped in their own final third.

2 points dropped

70% possession and over 600 passes, all very well but we need to make those stats count with goals.

Little concerned at conceding from a simple wide cross into the box, again.

Unnecessary! The way the match panned out it was a decent result. With ten behind the ball we had to keep passing to find the gap, Morsy did that and justice served. No need for smarmy comments, FrimleyMakin's opinion was quite possibly more valid than yours to be honest.

2 dropped, for the main reason that we’ve been here before. If we could find a way of grinding out the win after so much control, we’d be unstoppable.

In isolation, it’s good to salvage a point after coming from behind twice and against a very committed Pompey side. But the pattern is worryingly regular. That’s 8 points dropped from the last 24 where we bossed a game.

70% of possession so we have to win games and score more goals.

I think we do, because John-Jules is not going to be available.

Not sure if signings are entirely the answer, tho. More a case of tightening up on defending and concentration.

We're averaging nearly 2 goals per game (without massive scores to boost that total). Tighten up a bit at the back and we're laughing.
