Are you saying he is a better player than Taylor ?
I've seen more of Luongo than Taylor so my viewpoint probably isn't well-rounded enough to compare but from what i've seen I think getting Luongo and keeping the money to spend on a striker is better business. Even though I'm sure if it came down to it, we could have afforded both.

I’ve never understood why the financial aspect of any deal bothers fans so much, do what it takes to get this club upwardly mobile again, if it means spending a few million then so be it.
I'm excited to have him here. He's not match fit but it's not like we need him to play 90 minutes each match. I think he'll be key.
He's ready to start apparently

Adds the experience to take the pressure off to play Humphreys more than we should do. Between them, Morsy and Evans we would be unfortunate to be short in that area of the pitch.
Strange it's only 6 months. I assume there's a +1 year option or an extension if we're promoted?
I'm more surprised he has agreed to it. Its fantastic for us. We have Ball and Camara back so the need for him will not be there unless he rips it up. If he rips it up then we and he will be happy and he'll probably get a champ deal with us.
At his age and Humphreys as well...
It's perfect for us. If an option in our favour then great
