Referring to the "ground" as a bowl sounds like we're trying to be something that we aren't, and a bit cringeworthy. We can rightly be proud of our ground, or even stadium, if that's what you like to call it, but it is not a bowl and long may that continue.

They might be connected but if you’re in the North stand you can’t wander from there into the Cobbold stand. A “bowl” stadium, such as most over here, are ones where you can roam the concourses around the entire bowl of the stadium regardless of where your seat is. | |
