I’m sure they do given they paid £750 to Derby for him...and he’s a significantly better player now than he was with Derby from what I’ve seen

Somewhere between those 2 numbers would be a good price IMO, given his age.

Just heard this on the wireless. Jim White said the deal is a real possibility. Gutted

I would be more gutted if he stayed at Swans and went on loan to Plymouth right at the end of the window. He also doesn't want to be at a rival to Plymouth so he really isn't coming here anyway.

Don't be. We're not short in the striker department.

No disrespect intended to the Scots, but I’m always a little disappointed when a young player sees his further in the SPL. Surely he should be aiming far higher than this.? So for me that tells me missing out on him is no big deal.

I suspect Swansea will hold out for 1.5m. He's had a half a good season league1. Can't be worth that much more surely.

Nah Rangers or Celtic is a useful stepping stone for him. Chance to put yourself in the shop window for bigger leagues by playing half your games at packed out stadiums and an opportunity to play in Europe. Feels like a big step up from League One, even if in reality it only is for derby day and the first few months of the season before you get dunked out of Europe.

Guaranteed European football plus the opportunity to play in big vivacious crowds and winning silverware. All very good experiences for a young player.

A couple seasons up there and if he plays well then a PL club will come calling.

Absolute nonsense. A young player getting the opportunity to play for either side of the Old Firm is getting a chance to win silverware, play in front of huge crowds over 50%of the time, guaranteed European football and an opportunity to really put yourself in the shop window.

A chance to play in front of 50,000 fans every home game, playing in the Champions League and challenging for cups and league titles?

Complete lack of ambition.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over
