Wasn’t there a Newcastle away game shown at the cinema around 93 or 94? I recall it but not convinced it actually happened. Maybe the Claus Thomsen late goal game?

Most have been 93-94, sometime around Easter given no away fans were given tickets at St James Park. I didn't go as I was on crutches which is how I can date it but sure we lost 2-0. [Post edited 26 Jan 2023 7:41]

£6 for the Cambridge beamback on 21:12 - Jan 25 with 3702 views | floridablue | First beamback I can remember being involved in, was joining the crowd outside the EADTs office in the town centre , mid 70s for a EUFA cup game. Midweek, cold dark night game and a penalty shootout which we lost. Now those really were the days!!

If I remember rightly it was meant to be shown on a big screen at the Corn Exchange but the match was called off, on the re arranged date the Corn Exchange was already booked so it was shown at Portman Rd in front of the Cobbold Stand. Can't remember the score but we lost
£6 for the Cambridge beamback on 23:23 - Jan 25 with 3163 views | HungryLikeTheWoolf | Good of the club to do this, hope those going enjoy it and the club can do more of these in future. How come the club is allowed to show the game, but 3pm games aren't allowed to be shown on ifollow/tv in this country though? (Genuine question, are beambacks exempt or something?)

Not what you're asking but, as far as I can see, the last one they did was for the Southend game in 2019. But they also did it a couple of times in Joe's time. Brighton Game Beamed Back 21st Apr 2005 16:58Town's final game of the season will be shown live at the various Portman Road bars. Brighton's temporary home at the Withdean Stadium holds only 7,000 supporters and the Blues have been allocated just 756 seats for what could be an end of season showdown. 0 Norwich Ticket Details 6th Feb 2004 17:55Town have announced details of ticketing for the away derby with Norwich City on on Sunday, March 7th. The club have also revealed that there will be a live beamback of the game to the Portman Road bars. 0
