We're not currently light but if one of Morsy/Evans pulled a hammy/ twisted knee that leaves us with a 19 year old and a player who has played 30 mins all season. Both are good players and I trust them but I'm just saying it's the one area their is risk. I don't think we need to spend. I'm just saying tempted to bring Harper back if we could.
Great news on ball of ahead of schedule. He'd need to be miles ahead though. Is he named in squad though? I thought we were going to have to leave out as too many over 21s. |

I'm relaxed about it. I said I don't think we'll do any business. If there was one area we carry a slight risk it's midfield if we picked up an Injury. I don't think anything controversial about it. To repeat I don't want to sign anyone . I said I might consider bringing Harper back from his loan as cover. That's it. If we don't I'm not going to worry about it. (Harpers age checking Wiki means I don't think he counts as u21 so probably doesn't help us as birthday a few months too early). | |

Sorry if it was overly sour. I apologise for the overreaction. I just think Luongo and Humphreys are perfectly good enough cover even if Evans got injured, especially with two others recovering from injury to come in.
I think Harper is best left playing where he is. There is an argument that Humphreys going out and playing regularly would benefit him more than having a bits and pieces involvement here but I don't think we would be able to get as good in to play 4th fiddle. It is a fine balance but I think we have it right if Humphreys gets some pitch time without being required to start a run of 3+ matches. | |

Connor Wickham on a free maybe, the only other area I could see us looking at is centre back
Keogh showed we could do with a leader in there who can deal with the more physical stuff, perhaps Clarke is part of that equation any way

No worries. Appreciate the apology. I agree with you basically. Humphreys and Luongo are good players. Think Humphreys is getting plenty of experience, minutes and crucially quality coaching from McKenna and co.
Just a slight concern injuries in that area could happen (but it is slight and most likely we can cope).

It is surprising isn't it. He may feel his best options will come after the window when the madness has died down. Is he actualy fit though. He was injured prior to his release and missed last few games of his contract. I suspect Forest Green may even have decided not to renew (not because he's not good but on their budget they need someone playing).
