Could be a big blow if Luongo is unfit, or has any fitness issues himself.

Step forward young Humphreys!!

Is Luongo also out injured ?, apologies, I hadn’t seen this

He was left behind on Tuesday as he was carrying a knock. Not sure if it's serious or not so may even be in contention for the weekend but with having a niggle and not being match sharp I can't see him being ready to partner Morsy on the regular.

And Morsy's two game ban is incoming - quite possibly after Saturday...

Hopefully he can hold on until Bristol Rovers to pick up another yellow. The two following fixtures are probably the least worst ones for him to miss.

He's not really been on it since coming back from the last injury, but just in terms of numbers this would be a blow. Sounds like Camara and Ball will be fit this season but won't be match sharp and it's asking a lot of Humphreys to play every game.

Interestingly, I think we did slightly better in the period before Christmas when Humphreys was playing (and we were down to only two midfielders) than we have done since then.

Shame. Big fan of his comedy shows.

Think there's some truth in that, although he was starting to look like he was feeling the pace towards the end of that run of games. He's a quality player, I'd just rather he is used out of choice and more sparingly at this point rather than us having to rely on him.

That's certainly a fair point.

Is it asking a lot?

I disagree. Throw him in.

I think it is asking a lot. He's only just 19, in his first season as a first team player, playing in a physical position in a physical league. He's done well, but there jave also been signs at times of him feeling the pace and making a few costly errors. I want him to be a big player for us for years to come and I think in an ideal world that would mean not having to rely on him every week at this stage.

Bearing in mind what Josh Windass did to Plymouth's Mike Cooper, maybe we should play the Reserves and keep the First XI fit for the rest of the season?

If one of our players is injured unnecessarily on Saturday then it will look more than coincidental...
